Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE 2016
Here we refer to antimacassars which are the crocheted doilies used to protect the furniture from hair oil - so is amaciador something similar? The whatever that is needed to protect jumper material?
I going by the sound/pronunciation of the word - otherwise I dunno what a amaciador is either.

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE 2016
FABRIC SOFTENER??? Really? What is that then the chemical composition ?
Geez - I've never heard that word used for Fabric Softener. Here it is called Fabric Softener and sometimes Fleecy as that is probably one of the more popular name brands - kinda like when people refer to tissue as KLEENEX.
As for softening up your jumpers - I have hard plastic knobby balls. I put 2 of them into the dryer with the clothes and the clothes all come out super soft
Weather-wise the sun has come out here this afternoon, a bit cold but otherwise I'm wearing a long sleeve t-shirt with a flannel vest. Best of all - NO RAIN! I think we're drying up pretty good.

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE 2016
As Omar can never remember the technical term for fabric softener, he still calls it Downey, the main brand in Egypt
I am sure there are a few people in the local Aldi who think thats my nickname as he just bellows Downey as we walk down that section
Had a stunning red sunrise sky this morning, as we did yesterday. It seems to be a temporary joy that is followed by dull grey cloud for the rest of the day

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE 2016
I wasn't asking the SAME question H. I know what an amaciador is but in the context of Jays post I read it as referring to her jumpers.

Or am I still missing something.......like a few braincells?Has anyone found a good amaciador??? My jumpers are so scrubby.

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE 2016
Weather is totally neutral here today with a hint the sun 'might' come out.
I wouldn't want a golf ball to explode in my dryer and have no idea how the heat and tumbling of a dryer would affect them.
I know the hard plastic knobby balls work (and don't damage the inside of your dryer). Some women here make the same balls out of wool and claim they work well.
I dunno how well wrapping wool into a ball would work and using REAL wool would be expensive.

Same difference,Emaciate, to make thin.
Amaciado de Carne, to make (your steak) thin.

Hellooo LLL, we dont have driers here, we have washing lines. I do have a washing machine and a portuguese "tank" for use in summer. Clothes in soak overnight need very little detergent next day and its people (me) power not electricity.

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE 2016
Hmmm - so how to make jumpers soft via hand power ....
What are your jumpers made out of? Real wool? Acrylic? Cotton? Nylon?
If you're not using lots of soap (which when dry will IMO stiffen up material) then once your jumper is dry I'd be rolling them into rolls and then batting them about so loosen the fibers and soften them.
Laundry brought in an day the wind is just snapping the clothes will be considerably softer than laundry brought in on a day with a small breeze - so somehow after they're dry I'm be shaking them, rolling them - doing something to batter the fibres which is what softens them.

Re: WEATHER REPORTS FROM EVERYONE 2016
i think we are getting the tail end of the storm in the USA today. Its windy out and i suspect its going to be a chilly one. Should be fun at the match tonight if the wind is taking the ball all over the pitch
