Teresa May speaks out
At last a speech by our home secretary Teresa May about radical Islam and how they must accept our values and way of life. It was not inflammatory in any way it just reiterated our core values and equality of everyone under our laws, she said that we could not tolerate homophobia, attacks on religious beliefs, attacks against our values and the preaching of hate or acts counter to our cultures and beliefs. She has challenged the fact that Sharia law is in use in the UK and will investigate how it is being used to penalise women in particular. No doubt they (our politicians) are starting to take into account all the genuine concerns by many in the UK that our own culture and way of life is steadily being eroded in an attempt at multiculturalism which always seems a one way street in favour of the immigrant and not the indigenous population. It was a good speech, well thought out and without malice, just stating the facts and how it will be dealt with. She may be a woman, but she has a bigger pair of balls than most politicians of today and I am sure that if she were not shackled by the wishy washy views of the Liberal Coalition party then she would be a really tough and very effective minister.

Re: Teresa May speaks out
Grand words but lets see some deeds to follow. I like Teresa May and can see her in even higher office but all the time we have a soft PM and politicians whose main objective is their own personal ingratiation, little will change.

As I said Grandad, she has bigger balls than all of them, she would make a good PM

Re: Teresa May speaks out
Our politicians are equally wishy washy here in Canada. They rarely say anything and if they do actually verbalize something it is rarely followed up by any actions.
As per Fox News here - "the UK is revealing a new plan to wipe out radical extremism" aka the Teresa May speech. Apparently she is taking a stand and, as per the news here, she is going to close down various institutions, including mosques that have been used to produce extremists. Apparently she clearly identified the Islamic threat and did it much better than the Obama Administration is doing at this time.
Interesting that us here in Canada get the USA version of what you UK Home Secretary said but we don't chip in our own position nor do we play compare/contrast to what the USA & UK are doing.
