Another potential thin edge of an Islamist wedge? Universities UK has advised its UK member Universities to consider segregating male and female students who attend lectures by Muslem speakers to respect the spealers' customs.
See this article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... es-UK.html
In history Muslem invaders have have taken over many countries particularly around Europe, (mostly to be eventually ousted) but these have been open and aggressive invasions. I fear that there is a gradual invasion going on right now with our rights and traditions being slowly undermined by a 'soft' Muslem invasion.
This gives me some concern for the future.......any comments???
Gender segregation in universities? What's going on?

Yes Grandad there is, vote UKIP at the next European and local elections, they seem to be the only party that is prepared to speak out against this watering down of our national identity in so many aspects of our everyday lives. Although I do not particularly endorse all of their politics I am afraid that like many more in this country I can see no alternative but to embrace their broad church of political views in order to be heard on issues that do concern me as no other party seems willing or able to grasp this particular nettle. Of course our once moderate voices and real fears for the future are not allowed to be aired in a moderate manner because that old chestnut of a refrain so often used by those that would attempt to silence us is chanted once more "you are being racist" or some other such dross so popular with the scoundrels who would deny the rest of us any free speech or an opinion that differs with their own.

I will be honest H, in recent local and county elections I have voted UKIP. I simply could not give my vote to the other parties that I have completely lost faith and trust in.
And how right you are. If we voice our opinions we can be arrested and charged with anti racism offences.....what happened to free speech?

Re: Gender segregation in universities? What's going on?
Our present political parties stand for nothing but their own interests, all public schoolboys who never held a real job. Labour shifted so far to the right under B-liar that he stole the Tory mantle and left them with nowhere to go, but further to the right and each party led by a non descript politician that would never be elected under normal circumstances. We have become so jaded by years of broken promises and corrupt self serving MP's that the vast majority have given up even bothering to vote as it seems to change very little. However after years of just accepting that this is the way things will be, some of use are doing the unthinkable and voting for extreme parties as a way of showing our disgust with the big three (or big 2.5) as the Liberals are only ever going to be tail wagging a dog, elected by default rather than by popular choice. To be honest I am quite looking forward to the utter panic that will ensue after the next European and local elections as I am certain that parties such as UKIP will make major gains, regrettably it will also let in some of the less desirable parties like the BNP, but that is a price the main parties must pay for constantly ignoring the views of the electorate. In any society when people feel they are not being listened too there will be a reaction and that reaction is getting very close and the results will a real wake up call for the main parties and not before time.
We have politicians that will give away millions and millions in foreign aid whilst for example our pensioners are the poorest in Europe, we have people who cannot afford to keep warm due to sky high fuel costs while we give money to people living in Spain and other hot countries, we have child poverty in this country yet allow thousands of Poles to claim child benefit for their children living in Poland. They make the poorest people in this country jump through hoops to gain a pittance on a benefit they may be entitled to, but their own pay revue body can award them (the MP’s) an 11% increase in their pay. So for me the shake up cannot come soon enough, I have lived long enough to realise that nothing short of a revolution will change the entrenched old school views of our political elite.

Agree Grandad. Everything is being eroded and I hate to think where we all will be in another 20 years. Our own seem to have no rights - none yet we give give give and then give a bit more to anybody who screams they have a need - BUT - if I voice a real legitimate complaint or concern I have not one hesitation or doubt that I'd be immediately branded a racist. The word itself is the new method of control.
