Horus I'm after your help once more...please................Just this week I was given a photo of my grandmother in a group photo taken long time ago in her earlier years..................myself & brother David picked her from the group on separate days so we are convinced it's her.
I have super imposed photos before (one on top of the other) to verify facial likeness & how they blend together, but my brain has gone blank on how to do it, I've tried Google etc etc .......
Please can you help me to do it in Elements 11 or Gimp as & when you have the time
That sounds interesting Kiya. Are you trying to find family likenesses or confirm that the person in the picture is your grandmother by comparing with a known photo of her.
Will wait and see what Horus comes up with
Yes Grandad, We are trying to confirm it is our Grandmother, I've taken her from a group photo (new to us) and a photo we have of her in her younger days, putting one on top of the other to compare face outline and features.
I know it can be done as I have done it before but my brain has gone blank.............I did it with one of my daughters and its striking to see how her features and mine are alike.
Kiya I am sending you an email plus a few images that hopefully will help you to decide and instructions on how to do it, but I think it may well be the same person.
Horus thank you so much for all your time and effort in showing me how to do this, I think I will need some practice and will let you know how I get on.
Can you upload instructions here, I'm sure Grandad is interested
No problem Kiya, it all sounds a bit complicated, but its not so hard once you relate it all to using your Elements program, the rest of it is just my way of trying to match up the facial features, so not really rocket science but more of a good guess. I did not upload it on here because it contained images personal to you and your family and I doubt the instructions would be of much interest elsewhere unless you were doing a similar exercise to yourself, hope it helps you.
I was having a mess around yesterday with some Foxglove flowers and taking some 'super' macro's so thought you may like a look. Both are taken by cutting away the front part of the flower tube to...

You definitely have an impressive work area. Very organized and tidy and methinks functional enough to let you turn your hand to anything.
@Kiya - Roy probably has a bizzillion tools related to his...
Any predictions how the new Prime Minister of Italy (Mario Monti), being called Super Mario here, will go? Do you think he is going to be able to salvage Italy and help Greece?
Today is one of the biggest sports days in the USA. SUPER BOWL and today IS Super Bowl Sunday. The Seattle Seahawks vs Denver Broncos.
I know this as the Seattle Seahawks are somewhat a local team...

My PM's work on E4U but not on L4U. On L4U I have no icon for messages. It disappeared months ago. Keefy was able to restore mine for about a week and then it just blipped off again. No idea why it...
I was just looking and I have something like 21 pages of photos I've added to the E4U Gallery. Some several years old. How do I delete a bunch of these old photos off?
I have no specific reason for...

Maybe you are correct about personal albums Grandad, it is as I said, to avoid messing up older posts, but as said previously I can always delete stuff if it was a must for some reason.
