Nothing like that in my garden centre MD but mature plants can cost a small fortune. We were there a few days ago and nice fan palms about 1.5 metres tall were priced up to £300. A very much more established palm was priced at £980. What amazes me is the small container that these large plants survive in.
This is my Mediterranian Fan Palm which would be around £250 at the garden centre.
Back to the wildlife. A few snaps from this afternoon and a bit of a puzzle.
I think these two are of a Tree Sparrow and a Baby Robin. What are your thoughts?
And we have an abundance of those pesky invaders from the US

Well well well! Sitting outside at about 9 pm on this balmy evening, a thrush came down on the bank to see me. Definitely the first thrush sighting this year.
I really was beginning to wonder if we new cubs this year. Then just before midnight the trail cam got these clips. I have not edited or added transitions, these are straight from the camera.
Now hoping we will soon see them in daytime. Not sure if there are 3 or 4 as they are nearly as big as the parents by now. I think probably 3.
Sorry to go on about the foxes but they have been a continual source of interest for us for so many years. Some we have got to know very well, some prefer to keep their distance, some have had mange which we have treated. So you might gather that we rather like our urban foxy friends.
This was early this morning when we had a hedgehog getting his share of the dog food and then the family arrived to find the scattered dog food and little piles of peanuts and of course the bird bath for a drink.
I now think there are five cubs. In some clips there are six foxes and I think just one is the dog teaching the cubs to hunt and find food. These are all 20 second clips just put together without any editing.
These cubs will reach maturity by the end of the year and will mate early in the new year when they are only about 10 months old.
Way cool Am thinking the Hedgehog was just making a guest appearance but keeps the show interesting
They really are quite a crew and are all looking really good. Interesting to watch them acting and interacting naturally. You never really get to see that in daylight in daytime.
