Catching up reading the local news - and - guess what? We're having an American TV series being shot here.

Chesapeake Shores is an original series being shot for the Hallmark Channel staring Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives) and Victoria’s own Meghan Ory (Intelligence).

Part of the News article was talking about us locals seeing New York City Police cars driving about here. We apparently have lots of 'locations' that this TV series needs.

This will probably be a decent boost to the local economy

Definitely! I'm going to get all dolled up and do 'walk by' as they film I'll have to come up with a secret signal and then let you all know which episodes I'm in. I'll signal unobtrusively in the background to you all.

When I was in Las Vegas a couple of years ago doing walkabout in one of the Casinos there was a film crew and actresses filming something. They were incorporating the tourists and gamblers into the shot.

My claim to fame in TV world is being FILMED having my finger prints taken in the USA on their new biometric finger printer. It was to be used for training. I was just starting employment but they needed somebody to "star" in their production and I was standing there.

I've often wondered what Billing I got in the training film? We just booked this street walker? We just booked this floosy? We just booked this high class call girl?

I was once in a BBC reconstruction program called '999 Rescue'

"999 Rescue" - who or what did you rescue H? What was your starring role?

I was part of a rescue team that saved a couple of university numpties that got themselves trapped underground in a flooding derelict mine. The BBC were making a series about such dramas and ask us to reconstruct it for them, so our Potholing club decided to do it (for a fee) It was so embarrassing the way they wanted to portray it that several of us refused to take any further part in the filming, but I do think my left leg has a starring role.

So as we get all the old stuff here I may be familiar with your left leg Horus ! ! They made a documentary of the New Forest Pony Sales. Unluckily I was in many shots and was interviewed by my boss as I was off ill. Had to give his awful kids free riding lessons.
