Looks like the temple of Seti I Grandad :) It always makes me laugh when I see that chunk of stone on the right, it is placed with the inscription upside down, as they say, only in Egypt

I use paint shop pro, i meant some areas (the palm trees) could do with just brushing over with a finer brush to fetch the backgroung more in, you can still see some bluish sky in them from the original photo.

I like the moved entrance

Looks as if I might have to consider an investment to be able to compete with you all. :)
Keefy uses PaintShop Pro, what do you, Andy and Horus, use? :?:

Hi Grandad,
I used Paintshop pro 7.
I've also got Paintshop pro 9 AND Adobe photoshop CS4 but always end up using PSP7 as it's what I'm used to. :)

I am like Andy, I tend to use the one I am most familiar with :)
I have Photoshop 7.0 with a hard back manual that's about 1.5 inches thick, but to be honest I rarely use it. If I have to manipulate anything, I always make myself a lot of hard work by doing it the hard way and using believe it or not PSP ver 3.0! mainly because I am used to it.

I tend to do things the long way around such as in my own photo entry where I freehand copied the row of sphinxes from another picture, resized it, then pasted it into the Seti one. Then pasted another row of sphinxes as a new image, mirrored them, shortened the row length to match the target picture. Removed the lady on the left hand row then used a copy technique to lengthen the plinths and extend the kerb edging. Lots of manual touching in and blending to match the background and foreground always using plenty of zoom and about 80% strength to either clone other areas or push a few pixels to blend the edges. Finally I messed about with the 'Hue' to give it a more realistic colour match. Like I said, not so much using the clever technology, just a lot of patience. :) ;)

Im using Paint shop pro 9. I only use this program because i have used it since the earliest version and just kept upgrading, When it changed over to the Coral from Jasc it seem different so i stuck at the version before Coral took over (from version 9).

I really dont use much of the features, i duplicate the photo (background)so i have 2, i cut around what i need from the original photo (posted by you)and paste it on to the new background, then i use the background that i have not pasted anything to brush around what i have pasted to blend the background.

Priceless H, much better than what I had in mind :br:

BTW....I've downloaded a trial of paint shop pro X2 ultimate (whatever that is?) to try something a bit slicker than my trusty old Adobe :)
