I love the days the sea is showing in all shades of bue/green, this is how it looks at midday.

Thanks Kiya - I'm just seeing these now. I usually check "View New Posts" and right now am finding that I've missed several posts cause they were never put under the "View New Posts" button.

Nice photos and great colours too. It is amazing how the colours of water changes and can look different at different times.

In Canada there is a lake at Lake Louise, Alberta - it is always turquoise and everybody takes pictures of it. Very different but lovely.

I also like the changing colour of the sea but I like it (the sea) most when it is at its wildest, crashing against harbour walls and throwing spray high into the air. Dangerous but dramatic. :sd

As we are talking seaside here, perhaps you won't mind if I add a few pics to your thread Kiya. :)

Digressing a little; on our way back from Luxor in March I saw a picture in the Squ'Easyjet in flight magazine of a beach scene at Botany Bay in Kent. It showed a pillar of white chalk sitting isolated on the sandy beach. We have many sandy beaches around the East Kent coast but I had not heard of Botany Bay. On Wednesday morning we set out to find it. True enough, there is a tapered pillar of chalk but it is amongst other free standing columns and I have to assume that the picture in the magazine had been 'doctored' to make it look rather different than it really does.

Here are a few pictures of the beach at Botany Bay with the last one of the best angle I could find of the chalk pillar featured in the magazine.

CHEEKY RS  I know most of my local coastal pictures feature pebble beaches and groynes, but we DO have many nice sandy bays, some large, some very small. But we keep them to ourselves and don't tell everyone about them

Lovely sharp tall cliffs, rocks there Grandad AND - WOW :up SAND! Niceeeeeee. The only thing that could be better with your photos is after a few more centuries when the waves wear away the bottom of those rocks giving them a more top heavy look.

And Kiya - your view is really BRIGHT today. Lovely nice green grass compared to the blue. Am sure Grandad will enjoy his cuppa out there while he is admiring the water :) :)

Ohhhhh wowwwww - that IS a lovely sunset. Quite striking colours too. If you had a program that really deepened and brightened each colour you could have one of those psychadelic kalidoscopes.......

Love shot of the clouds though - hope today for you is/has (time zone changes) a great one. I'm at 69 degrees already at 9am, sun is out and there is no wind :) :) :) Gonna be a good one.

These photos are worthy of calendars! Grandad, the reason I mentioned about the sand as opposed to pebbles is because I find it difficult to find sandy beaches in Kent! :(
