We've all been patiently waiting the last nine months for the arrival of the new baby. And just as I turned E4U on this morning I got the call to get over to the daughter's place.........soooooooo gotta rush out the door now.......NEWS TO COME!

Re: Arrival (and its about time)
Waiting.....4 hours later and we're waiting.
Twins happily playing, mom walking, hot showering, checking in with the mid-wife, dad making unauthorized calls to ALL the relatives alerting them
(unauthorized coz mom wants to wait to make the BIG announcement)
The wait is on......

Re: Arrival (and its about time)
This is Aislyn

I started to post them last night and re-sized the photo smaller but E4U said they were still too big and then I found myself in the land of Nod and snoozed my way off to bed. The night before sleeping on the sofa and chasing the boys for 36 hours did me in so I must not have downsized the photos to the right size to get them on here. Now that Grandma has had a full night sleep the brain has checked back in
Not sure if this is an old wives tale or not but the daughter was convinced the baby was going to have lots of hair as she had heartburn AND Aislyn has a full head (Unlike the twins who were fuzz tops). I have no opinion re: baby hair & heartburn as both mine had only a light fuzz and I had no heartburn.
The twins were content to be themselves in the birthing room and curious about sister. They loved the birthing chair

I have photos of them looking at their sister and the smiles but they also include mom
who photographically was NOT at her best
AND actually even threatened me, her mother, the photographer she better not see HER FACE in print
Wonder why?

Re: Arrival (and its about time)
She is gorgeous & aint she big for a girl
the boys are looking happy too.
Must be true about the heartburn/hair.....my mother told me she was killed with heartburn carrying me for the whole duration, when born a comb was useless & my mother had to use a brush from birth with the thick head of hair I was born with.................I still have that baby hairbrush

Re: Arrival (and its about time)
Today, now that everybody is home, had somewhat of a night's sleep life is slowly returning to a new normal at the daughter and son-in-laws house and was the first chance for Grandma (me) to really see my new granddaughter in the light of day. EYES too!

I've heard the hair/heartburn tale - maybe it does have merit!
