AMAZING SKIES TONIGHT.

I wonder if anywhere else in the UK saw beautiful skies as darkness fell as we did here in the North.

Just a shame it wasn't over the Nth Sea to make a nicer photo.

Fabulous pictures Kiya, they seem to me to have the Aurora Borealis effect in them, which wouldn't surprise me living where you do.

I've been told they are Nacreous clouds.......that's from an ex-President of Aberdeen Astronomical Society.

Whatever they're called they beautiful. I thought aurora borealis too. Very airey ephemeral feel. Lovely.

After having a peep on Google they look very much like Nacreous clouds, whatever they were amazing to watch

Then Nacreous clouds they are especially comming from such an authority as Aberdeen Astronomical Society as they should know.
