But But But - I didn't see any photos from Horus, Grandad, Kiya, BeardedBrian or any of us E4U gang???

The nerve! Guess they didn't want to show up their own pros by publishing our photos! ;)

I DO agree Keefy :( Some of the 'pro' pictures look over edited particularly the 'Best pro People picture'. And what is so special about the 'Pro Landscape' picture?

I like people pictures, or candids, but they must tell a little story. I have dozens of them and here is a 'people' picture I will put in for 'Amateur people' next year....not

This was last month in Paris...

Let's see some more from you guys that you feel could compete with those winners :)

I quite agree Grandad that a photo needs to tell a story. Love your photo from Paris. I can look at it and it really speaks to the imagination AND it allows me to see "me" in such a picture. Am sure it takes 'talent' for the pros to turn out what they do but I'm also wondering how many are 'real' unedited photos/

Editing and photo montage is normally accepted these days LLL. So often things are not really as they appeared. The biggest culprits for this are the advertising agencies. :)

The Best Amateur 'After Dark' entry looks as if there has been some very clever layering.

I like the audacity of the Best Pro 'Still Life' photographer to leave his clamps visible in shot, and I quite like the photo.

Probably my fav is the Best Pro 'Contemporary Issues' entry. SO much in that reportage image, made all the more dramatic in B & W. :up
