Reasons to be happy
A very dear friend has just got a new job after months of worry and heartache. My amaz-ing daughter is now able to come home for Christmas. My niece will be visiting next week with her two adorable children. All in all I've had a good couple of days!

Thank you, kind sir! 2012 will bring a wedding for my eldest and a second graduation for my youngest. I have every reason to hope that it will be a great year
I've always been a glass half full sort of person and I will retire in less than two years, something I am looking forward to immensely. I plan to travel a bit and enjoy a lot!

Awwwww Morgita - NICE! I'm looking at about the same time frame to hang up the spurs too (so to speak).
I'm thankful I've got two wonderful grandsons, two terrific daughters and two pretty neat and great son-in-laws. I'm thankful I still have all my faculties (well - most of the time anyway) and that I have the means and wherewithall to come and go and basically do as I please.........
As I watch TV News, read the Media and listen to the radio I'm forever and eternally thankful I'm living in a society that actually allows me the freedom to voice what I think even if it is ridiculous, to be a fool even if I'm crazy and tolerate my views even if they're radical. I'm profoundly thankful that the society I live in sees me as having "value" although I'm not male and to a certain extent, I'm thankful that there is "an American Dream" that others in the world can aspire to and probably (at least the first one or two generations) appreciate once they escape from their own places of birth. I'm also more than thankful I can appreciate there ARE differences in the world and that I can see the pros and cons of these.
All in all I know I've had a pretty exciting and decent life....always been just smart enough and able enough to cause myself mischief and lucky enough to have survived myself all these years!

Nice to hear Good News Morgita. .
That's how I live my life.. I never got past the age of 10 mentally..
Growing up... No Chance..
No TV and No Newspapers.. Makes life so much better, as well as getting rid of all the negative people in your life.
Once you "Get Happy", its important to hold on to the feeling as long as possible, no matter what.
ALL situations you find yourself in have a purpose to serve. So whatever was perceived as bad, will eventually have given you something good and positive.. Also, it's harder to resolve in "Panic Mode"..
Trick is, NEVER to react to a bad situation immediately. Stop for a while and ask yourself how to get the good from this.. ?

We're on the last day here of 2011 and whilst am saying my 'good-byes' to the old year and looking forward to many surprises coming in the new year!
Am starting off by going to an evening dinner followed by a musical show up in Seattle mid-January featuring "Tap Masters/Rythmic Circus".......Not sure I've ever seen this type of performance before but it'll be the first truly NEW thing I'm doing in 2012.
Anybody else got anything truly NEW they're doing or starting in the New year?

They are building a huge new road to town and as they have sliced a fair bit of the farm off and they have all gone home for the holidays I rode on the wide (clay) road - The first horse-rider to use it - thats something new ?Great fun sliding down the banks - -
