Hope you all have a happy and peaceful time, full of joy and laughter!

I have to check which day it is! Got quite a lot on my mind, what there is left of it. Living alone time passes very quickly as you get older.

So now Boxing day - raining as usual, but there is the threat of a break in the weather at lunch time. If it happens then I'll try a trip round the block with the new scooter - haven't had an opportunity to use it yet.

I hope you all had a very happy Christmas, mine was quiet but happy none the less.

Thankfully, it's over for me for another year! A Boxing Day lunch for all the family today and everyone was gone by 4pm. After a terrible night, I had been up since 4.15am, so I am now completely done in. Too early to go to bed yet, but it won't be a late night. So pleased you've finally got a scooter you can use, MD. Perhaps you could give us a blow by blow account of how you get on!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL & (today) HAPPY BOXING DAY. Was a quiet relaxed day here. Weather wasn't great but was decent (same as today - no rain, no sun but also NO SNOW!)

Glad you all survived. We really enjoyed our first Christmas here. Had avoided making plans as I had surgery on 16th & didn't know how I'd feel afterwards. Ended up feeling OK so out on 18th, 20th, 22nd & 24th & then 4 friends in Xmas morning for drinks & nibbles! Our son and his partner arrive tomorrow evening so looking forward to that.
