I told you I have another scooter which is road legal.....what I had not realised is that it needs a DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency) registration and I received the registration document (log book) for change of ownership so if you see a scooter with the registration 'Q124RCP' that is me

(Actually you don't have to have the reg number ON the scooter as you do with motor vehicles

)

Interesting. There is a discussion happening here right now re: electric bikes on this very topic.

If I recall you do still have your licence? So you should be street legal?

If not and find yourself behind bars let us know and we can start a "Go Fund Me" to get you bailed out!

As it happens I decided only last week to relinquish my driving license. I received a renewal notice and knowing that would require an eye test that I would not pass, I sent my license back to the DVLA. I had really only been keeping it because it is a useful identity card with photo and home address. I collected parts for the cistern repair this afternoon and, as they require photo evidence, I took my blue badge
