I am often listening to music and I have quite varied tastes, today I came across this Scottish version of an Irish ballad. It is a hauntingly melancholy song, but beautifully sung by I believe Angela Cameron, thought I would share it with you all.

A Scottish neighbour of mine out in Africa used to sing it to my son when he was a baby, he was born out there and was a terrible child as the milk formula didn't suit him and it used to wear my wife out as for months he never seemed to stop crying. My lovely neighbour (one of his godmothers) would take him to try and give her a few hours rest, bless her. Luckily for us a nurse at the local hospital spotted a new shipment just in of 'Ostermilk' so we tried it and he never looked back, when he was born he was just under 6lbs, but today he is a strapping big bloke of 6 foot tall, married with two lovely kids. So you see Kiya, I too have fond memories of that song.
