Not posted for a while, I hope you are all fit and well. So how has 2018 been, work, work and more work, grew a beard ( still got it )
, granddaughter one is now 7
and number two will be 2 next month. On the photography front I got treated to a DJI Mavic Air Drone a few months ago...….. different.
On the holiday front we had a couple of weeks All Inclusive at Soma Bay on the Red Sea, a lovely place and stunning hotel but not really for us, so we split to the Nile Palace in Luxor for 4 nights, bit of Nile View room
. Then on the 2nd November we went to Iceland, 5 nights in Reykjavik
. This trip was for me and my hunt for the Aurora Borealis, the good lady isn't a fan of the cold, but she had invested in some layers and was good to go. Well what can I say, I loved the place it was truly amazing, we hired a 4x4 and never looked back, winter had started, dark long nights, the temps where dropping, snow was about.
We covered some miles and the winter tyres where a blessing, here's a few snaps for starters, but I got to tick that box that says see them northern lights, I found it not the easiest to photo, not as sharp as I hoped, tripod set up, cable release on, not sure if was down to manual focus or tripod movement with the strong wind that night, or it could have just me
.
