On Netflix is anybody watching "Bodyguard?"

I just started it tonight. Seems interesting enough. Watched the first 2 episodes.

It was rated best serial drama of the year over here LOL when broadcast on BBC TV. I was hooked and found it gripping.

I didn't watch it myself, but I may watch it on Netflix, I hate serials that keep me hanging on for another week and prefer to binge on a series that takes my fancy. ;)

I agree H. I don't have Netflix or any other subscription channel so watch series as broadcast. The problem I find is when you have several, running on different channels, with rather similar storylines. It then takes a a while for my brain to catch up on which one we are actually watching.

I agree, I lose the plot if I wait so I watch the first episode and if I like it I record the rest and binge on them later - usually two episodes at a time over a week if possible.

I watch very little live these days, so much is a waste of time or as you have said I lose the plot.

I no longer watch any series on TV. Can't abide commericals & advertisements so a series has to come on to Netflix before I'll start to watch. I did read somewhere that "Bodyguard" has good reviews and I will say it opened with a bit of a bang (episode one) so I was interested from the start. Episode 2 was equally interesting as well. Tonight I'll be watching Episodes 3 & 4.

Not too sure how many episodes are in the Series but I'll watch 2 per night 'til finished which is now the only way I'll watch. I lose the plot (and interest) too quickly when I have to wait a week to see the next episode.

@H - I've seen that one advertised here on Netflix but ...... "spooky" ..... Hmmm...... will have to think about that one.

Watched Episodes 3 & 4 of "Bodyguard" last night. Checked how many more in this series and there are only 2 so there were only 6 total. Not a large series. So far it has been good.

I watched the first episode of a new 6 part crime drama last evening, Dark Heart on ITV at 9pm. The second episode is this evening at 9pm.
This one is about revenge killing of pedophiles but the general pattern is the same as other dramas. Shot in low light almost monochrome, dialogue that is difficult to understand, and story lines that are very similar to all the other crime dramas.
And then you need at least five minutes when watching the next episode to remember which story you are actually following.
At least with films and programs in the fifties and sixties you could SEE the action and UNDERSTAND the dialogue.......but then came 'method acting' :xx

Maybe I'll give that one a try on 'Catch Up' Grandad, although if it's as bad as you say, I'll probably ditch it halfway through. ;)

I finished watching the last 2 episodes of Bodyguard. Was interesting with a few twists and turns and a couple of unexpected results. I quite like "who dunn its" if they're good and this one for a 1 hour six episode series was decent.

I'm with you on the dark filming and poor sound quality Grandad, ruins a good plot line. :td

Finished watching the series "Anne of Green Gables" based on a novel that every Canadian child MUST read by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Was pretty good. Not too many episodes though.

Am watching my way through Homeland and am up to midway through Season 3. Pretty interesting.

"Homeland" is interesting enough and sort of a 'who done what?' so it is keeping my interest. Will watch it.

I also saw and I believe it is a Canadian production another years worth of "Schitt's Creek" was just added to Netflix. It is a 20 - 30 minute comedy and it is kinda funny in its own way.

I don't think we get that series, but it did remind me of my neighbour showing me a tube of a well known adhesive on sale in the UK, one of those that claims to give instant contact like Gorilla Glue and it said on the side "Sticks like Sh*t"  now that is honest advertising for you. :D
