I note that you have had a complete set of weather warnings Kiya, Yellow, Amber, Red; and I am thinking of you right up in the north of Scotland.
How are things, are you OK?

Kiya is a hardy Scot, I bet she is sitting nice and cosy sipping her cup of tea and looking out of that front window at the wind and snow lashing her bench near the beach and thinking “what idiot would go out in this weather”

Hiya All, Yes I'm absolutely fine........thanks for your concern,..............the weather in my corner is not so bad , well at least to us, we've seen it all before & as Horus says we're a hardy bunch.
Snow is still lying around but the roads a clear .....so we are OK..............apart from that I have no heating or hot water today so waiting for the engineer, I don't think anything is frozen & all I see the boiler is completely dead.
Another surprise this week Roy offering me a holiday for two weeks with all expenses paid so have been searching for an apartment in some place with warmer climate, he asked me to take my brother David again which will be good as we have the same interests.
I have now decided on Faro Portugal in June, the flights are booked & just waiting on confirmation of an apartment I have chosen, 2 bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, sitting room & a lovely big terrace.
We are very much looking forward to it

That's good Kita. We were getting concerned that perhaps you were snowed in with no leccie.
We have talked a lot about boiler problems and I have a tenner that your condensate pipe is frozen. Horus and me have had the same problem, as have many others.

Agree about the boiler pipe Kiya, if you can see a (usually) white plastic pipe about 20mm diameter comming through the wall and into a grid, then pour a couple of kettle fulls of hot water over it at about ten minute intervals. Once you see water run out of the pipe and then stop again, go and reset your boiler and it should work OK.
Great about your holidays, that will do you both the world of good and something nice to look forwards to, he's a good lad that Roy

I'm glad you are OK Kiya, I could have been wrong but I thought you were pretty resourceful and had seen heavy snow before. You don't normally log in every day do you, busy Lady?
How lovely of Roy to treat you, he's a very good boy.
