Don't you just love those upper class Queens English voices singing the song

OK I'll raise the bar a little - do you remember "What's your name little girl?" which made my childhood almost unbearable.

And the show?
Ray's a Laugh.
Will I or anyone else with my name forget that dreadful show.

I tried to find you some Ted Ray stuff, but no Joy other than him appearing on This is Your Life with Reg Varney
Although while I was searching I came across this not so old one that used to have me in stitches at work, I just loved Little Billy's voice and how he mangles words plus the long suffering Audrey.

Thank you Grandad, it's funny but most of the theme tunes came into my head as soon as I saw the names.
Although to be fair I didn't actually like many of them - the Goon Show, Round the Horne ( how did they got away with all those double entendres ?) and the Navy Lark were my faourites.
Happy Days.

Round The Horn was always a Sunday favourite of mine, I would sit there choking on my lunch listening to the ditties sung by Rambling Sid Rumpo, he could make the most innocuous words sound absolutely filthy.

I do remember some, I had a radio in my bed head as I spent a lot of time in bed. I was an Ovaltiney, I remember Round the Horn for the funny voices but didnt understand it ( wish they would play it again). I saw Tommy Cooper at the country club, he did half an hour of his show on the microphone from his dressing room. By the time he came to the stage everyone was in hysterics, best night ever.

Always fun to go down memory lane but sadly none of these are ringing any bells with me at all.

Pure Genius! Just one of a brilliant kind.
PS Jay, I heard Round the Horn on IPlayer within the last year - they sometimes play old recordings of popular shows, worth looking out for, but I checked and that show isn't available as I write.

I know you are the same age as me LLL, as we joined something at the same time and we both put 100 years old. (As I said, we will get more respect if we are ancient !) I have been waiting for my telegram from the queen - - - -
