No going to cut and paste the entire article (it is on MSN) but just read there is a new concept design for an airplane that can reach Mach 24 and go from New York to London in just 11 minutes!!

THAT would make the Concorde look SLOW!

This new concept design was touted for the super rich who have to get from A to B in jig time and was also touted to go 11 times FASTER than the Concorde.

I'm happy if the plane I'm on has head supports - those little flaps you can pull so your head doesn't bob all over the place when you fall asleep.

I quite love flying British Airways which is like a polar opposite to American Airways.

Dunno I'd like to go THAT fast and apparently the plane to keep the speed up sheds the wings after take off!

Seems more like a rocket ship to me. Am sure planes that will go faster and faster are in the works. No mention of what type of landing strip would be needed.
