Saying as we have a couple more regular posters with MD & Robbo (which is nice to see

) I have not seen our Kiya about recently

are you hiding away in sunny Scotland or busy doing all of Roys jobs for him?

Cauliflower - I LOVE cauliflower and since the drop of our dollar cauliflowers here have become like GOLD! Talk expensive! They're like $8 EACH!! Ridiculously priced and have been since Christmas. Jokes are starting to float about that you're going to have to take a mortgage out just to buy a cauliflower!
Same as grapes - they hit $9/pound now too.
Cauliflower WAS usually about $2 - 3 each and grapes usually ranged at $2/pound on sale to $4/pound.

I have been buying 'Extra Large' Cauliflower from Tesco for £1-80p and they were monsters, the last one weighed over 2 Kg without the leaves

and it was as white as white could be with tight unblemished florets, it was delicious.

@H - yeah - rub it in!
The falling Canadian dollar compared to the American dollar hasn't helped our food prices here which they're saying have gone up something like 4% overnight ('cept for Cauliflower which seemed to go ridiculously high). Green onions USED to be 3 bunches for $1. Now they're $1/bunch. (Grow my own) Lettuce for any variety was about $1 - 1.50/head - NOW $2.50 is a good buy if you can find it at the price on sale.
BUT I do love cauliflower and it is priced sky high.

Most of you have been posting of your gardening, wildlife etc not things I'm really into but, I have been enjoying seeing your pictures on the subjects.
I was just saying yesterday "roll on spring/summer months" & get out & about with my camera again.

I love spring and can't wait for it to arrive. I truly love the days when I can just walk inside and outside without having to coat up and then grab scarves/hats/mitts/boots.
Won't be long now though - the days are getting longer. We're getting daylight at 5pm now
