I'm a real "bah humbug" re: Hallowe'en. It is NOTHING but commercialization.

I have yet to see the grandkids here although they're en route but the influx started at 4:30 and will go on for another few hours - hope I have enough candy but when I run out lights get turned off.

#3 Grandchild IS cute though and it IS an exciting event for the kids.

@ Grandad - this is my #3 grandchild - SUPER GIRL after an hour of Trick or Treating. It IS serious work to go house to house and collect candies and have to knock on doors and yell "Trick or Treat"

You can't see it through the mask but when she is "Super Girl" apparently "Super Girl" is serious and frowns. Usually she is more than happy and smiling but being 'in character' is a serious business for Super Girl.

I thought the second on was hilarious! I'd never seen the first Star Trek clip. Quite cute! Thanks H! (I enjoyed them too)

On another note - Hallowe'en is now over and most of the homes have their decorations down and gone (Unlike Christmas where the decorations can hang about for a long time)

I don’t know if you are familiar with Lidl, but they are a low cost shopping chain and a lot of their customers are on a par with your Walmart shoppers LLL in both deportment and dress sense

Ohhhhhhh - no I hadn't ever heard of Lidl before but if it is like Walmart there is an entire culture being created around "Wally World" and I swear now people just dress up when going there in hopes of being filmed and posted online as being one of the crazy shoppers who frequent the place.

Prior to 2000 I don't believe we had any WalMarts on the island but now there is one in almost every one of the little towns up and down the island. They have brought in cheap items that you literally had to pay an arm and a leg for here but on the other hand they have definitely changed the culture of us living here too.

There is only one town here on the Island - Qualicum. All the people got together and along with City Hall voted to NEVER ALLOW any chain stores or fast food establishments to move into their town. Quite a quaint place - but - now I'd never go there to shop.

LLL, we have a chain of supermarkets called Asda which is wholly owned by Walmart......so we too have Walmarts under a different name. Asda is the second largest supermarket chain in the UK.

I would probably beg to differ about the clientele of Lidl Horus. In my opinion both Lidl and Aldi have upped their game and following the recession they both made gains bringing more middle class customers into their stores.

Never saw a bloke in 'trackie' bottoms and trainers, and strpped to the waist to show off his tats in Lidl.....but I have in Asda

Grandad, I am not rubbishing the likes of Lidl or Aldi, in fact I often call in Aldi for some shopping, their specials are really good I got myself a nice battery drill in there last week for £19.99 with a 3 year guarantee. I was referring to the type of person in the video, you know the type, a real Chav, 5 kids by different fathers and living off State Benefits. :st
