Has anyone else noticed that in all the photos of last night's blood moon (yours too, Horus) it looks like a peeled orange? Even down to the stalk piece at the bottom? :)

I was driving back to Canada last night, crossed the Border at 2:30am and got to the Ferry terminal about 3:15am. The Ferry docks are located on a long finger about 1/2 mile out into the water. Across the way is a huge dock area where all the freighters are unloaded.

I've done this drive a million times it seems but last night was the most beautiful scene I've ever seen. There was not so much as a breathe of wind so the loading docks which are illuminated reflected orange on the waters and the moon looked lovely.

:( Have to admit as I pulled into the lane to wait for the ticket booth to open I thought about getting my camera out of the trunk and walking back down the way to take a photo BUT I feel asleep instead :zz :zz

Was a lovely sight though and atmospheric conditions were perfect for a really appreciable moment.
