Good TV programme

Not about Egypt, but on Sunday 7th June on the National Geographic channel at 8 p.m. they are doing an autopsy on a T-Rex dinosaur body!
I have seen a sneak preview and the reconstruction of the beastie looks very realistic, it is supposedly reconstructed based on the world famous 'Sue' the most complete fossil ever found of this particular species. They will actually disect the huge body and remove organs to see and explain how things worked, the heart alone looks the size of a washing machine, one word of warning! there will also be about 100 litres of fake blood to accompany the autopsy. :up

I'm sad I missed it :( :(

Was it good?

Am hoping it'll be broadcast here (and I'll be looking for it too)

It was extremely interesting and the full size replica was very impressive. They overdid the grossness a bit by using a chain saw to remove a leg and cutting open the chest cavity and stomach, but a good insight all the same to this huge creature and how it lived. The model took over 10,000 man hours to create and it really showed in the realism, you could almost smell the blood and gore as they cut it up. :sk

Way cool - well not so much about the chainsaw but I just saw an advert on Animal Planet that it is going to be broadcast here this Friday at 9pm :) :) I'll be watching. Love dinosaurs myself.

Not too sure I want to see a mock up dinosaur cut open with a chain saw but I definitely enough shows exploring the age of the dinosaurs. Always interests me. Got it written on my calendar :up
