Finding ones own pictures in the gallery.

I am aware that at the bottom of the gallery listing you can go directly to pictures in your own album, or from the drop down menu under Gallery View Post Options, you can filter out ALL of your pictures from ALL of the albums.
What I find a chore is looking for a picture that I believe I have already posted in an album but have to wade through 20 at a time to try to find it.
This is really a question for Horus or Keefy, but is there a way to increase the number of picture thumbnails so that one can more quickly scan through them instead of turning a page of 20 at a time?
At the moment I have 827 pictures in my personal album and these are included in my1238 across all albums.....I'll stop waffling hoping you get my point?
