Hosni Mubarak it has just been announced has been sentenced to three years for mis appropriating funds meant for the upkeep of various presidential residences and his two sons to four years. Surprising that he is still in the land of the living following his first appearance in court when he was carried into court on a stretcher, supposedly almost dying flanked by his two sons each holding firmly onto the Koran. No doubt they will receive much better treatment than the majority of prisoners in Egypt, like the rich any where.

Heard this on the UK news at about 11 am whilst in the garage modifying a pair of gates for a neighbour of mine (I have too many friends only joking ) I thought the same, he seems to be leading a charmed life since his arrest when you see the sentences others get handed down.

I'm amazed Hosni is still alive. Seemed to be on death's door a few times. Highly doubt that the jail terms will be punitive and who knows, old Hosni might come through it all and return to rule Egypt again one day. Never say never
