How to tell if a Battery is dead

This came as a serious email. I watched it and it definitely seems simple and straightforward. I don't have any batteries to test with myself right now but the theory behind why this works makes sense.

I use an AVO multimeter, just a teeny weeny bit more reliable

A rather iffy method to say the least

you can always just stick it on your tongue, best with a 9 volt one
