Because it's a day for staying indoors I thought I'd try out Horus' Syrup Cake, I don't think I've tried it before......any ways cant wait to get into it the smell around the kitchen is yummy

just wish I had some custard powder to mix, it would be extra yummy with custard poured over it.
I haven't two tins the same shape so chanced my luck it would be ok in a flatter tin.
They look a touch burnt but nawwwwww they're ok.
And have you ever seen/heard of the NutriBullet, one of Roy's new toys he bought last week, have to say it's really quick to use after preparing fruit/vegetables of your choice, you can have a mixture of fruit on it's own or vegetables or both.
This one today I've mixed with cucumber, spinach, little gem, red grapes, banana, kiwi, tangerine, apple & water, you can have it to any thickness you like depending on your water level you add.............don't be put off by the colour it's really delicious!!!!!!!!!

Hi Kiya, I have been lusting after the Nutri-Bullet since I saw the first advert, hope you will use it lots more, want to see if it lasts - . Does the instruction / recipe book give any recipes for including walnuts or almonds into the drinks?

The cakes look good Kiya and they tend to get a bit burnt on the edges if you don't watch them like a hawk.
So let me get this right, you are slurping down all these healthy blended fruits and vegetables all day and then at night ..................... scoffing a big chunk of syrup cake

Jayway... These are the 12 parts you get with the NutriBullet..
My son takes 1 in the smaller cups with screw on lids to work.
The Milling Blade as you see in the following photo is handy also
I'm sure once everything is out of box it will be easy enough to pack in your friends case
I didn't know about the apple seeds either but again you wouldn't be eating apple seeds any way
I haven't read about using figs in the book yet but I wouldn't think there would be any problem

I know my daughter has one of these NutriBullets and quite likes it. She makes all sorts of healthy concoctions. Being able to put banana into makes it really nice and thick to drink.
One of the fellows in my office used to have one and he'd bring his cup of whatever with him every day. I think they're quite popular and the type of home appliance you'd really use. Super easy to clean up too (which is one of MY criteria for a kitchen appliance)

At one Christmas a few years ago the fellow in my office brought his Nutri Bullet into the office and was making all of hot chocolatey smooth drinks for the day.
My daughter often is making smoothies and is always putting frozen berries into it (OR maybe she is blending all the berries and then freezing into slush - hmmm I don't exactly know) and turning out these thick creamy concoctions. Especially wonderful as a lunch substitute on a hot day. Banana and blueberry is my most favourite flavor - but she also has other stuff in there too.
