Hello everyone, thankyou for caring and noticing I had disappeared. I caught a little cold which went straight to my lungs, so after a couple of difficult days collapsed with pneumonia. The health service here is great, spent a couple of nights in the town ER, sent me home daytime to arrange my stuff, then they were a bit worried so whisked me off to the big Faro hospital, with a giant plastic bag over my head to not get cold night air -- haaaaa haaaaaa. Missed the holidays but had a great stay in Pneumonology with 2 lady companions, we suffered and spluttered together, I am sure all the laughter was half the cure ! I was totally amazed at the constant care from docs, nurses, aides, cleaners and caterers. I said no meat so received lunch and dinner of different fish, yummy- served with hot veg or pots of salad, expensive yogurts, fruit,very little bread (wheat is considered bad), like a 5 star hotel - I gained 5 kilos! Been home a couple of days now, comp had died so a friend put a new hard drive in, so much to catch up on. Sat outside in the sun reading as have to rest for a while till I have eaten up all their pills and potions, covered with my 3 baby cats, chicks pecking my toes, Glory on her tether talking to me and dogs bouncing around -- pure happiness !

So glad to see you are up and about again and enjoying life with all your animal companions, take things easy for a while, but as soon as you feel able get Glory saddled up and go for a nice easy ride and enjoy the freedom of the outdoors.
