I usually watch some TV after going to bed each night. Last night I caught what I found to be certainly the best thing I have seen on TV during the run up to Christmas.
It was 'When The Last Ship Sails' BBC 1, 11.05 pm. I won't say anything about it but IMO it is well worth watching on the iplayer. I was enthralled.

Oh, all right then.

It will probably not be everyones 'cup of tea'

but Sting has not produced anything for 10 years. He has been working on a musical play about the demise of the shipbuilding industry on Tyneside, he was a Wallsend lad. The play will be produced on Broadway next year and this was a preview of most of the music (just released as an album) performed before a small audience at The Public Theatre, New York.
The program is in the form of a
ceilidh with an assortment of instruments and beautifully filmed. If you like folksy type music that tells a story you will certainly like this. I hope the show comes to the UK because I will be in the queue.

I like Sting's music. Be very interesting if it comes here - well - it won't come HERE but if it comes to one of the big cities on the west coast I might get to see it.
On another note I actually thought it had to do with ship building!
