I couldn't find my post I did on this earlier so had to start a new one.
My problem was not being able to copy photos from computer via card to put in my DPF, a message always popped up saying the card is write protected when I knew it wasn't! after trying several old cards & then new cards with the same message I gave in & got my computer engineer to find the problem.
All along it was the card reader that had a fault although it showed the on red light & working so I ended up scrapping that one & got a new internal reader fitted.
The copying photos over to card was working perfectly now but when I put card into DPF some photos were not showing!!! OMG what now I thought...........I found certain photos I renamed did not show & some if the file was changed & also when I looked at " properties " of some photos I noticed this at the bottom....Title: x-default what does this mean ????

Re: Card Reader & DPF
Not really sure what it is you are doing Kiya, are you putting images onto a memory card to use in a Digital Photo Frame? The bit about X-default is probably because there is some information that is missing or not entered so it just displays the default settings for a given image type. Also are you sure that all the images are saved in a format that the Digital Photo Frame can recognise?

Re: Card Reader & DPF
Yes I'm putting photos on to SD Card to show on DPF, all photos are Jpeg so should show in the DPF.
As you say about Title: x-default.... some information is missing, I can only guess because of this certain photos are not showing & some photos I renamed do not show, I don't know why these dont show just because I renamed them

Re: Card Reader & DPF
I can't be certain what the problem is Kiya, but for the same reason that you should never delete or change memory card files names or edit images on your PC and then put it back into your camera. When you do this some information gets changed and often makes the files un-readable in the camera afterwards, I suspect that something similar is happening. Is it possible to 'format' the card in the DPF and then put it into your PC card reader slot and then transfer all your pictures onto it again and see if that works? (of course formatting will delete all your image files from the card)
