Quite a lot I would imagine, you can get programmes that create these sort of things.

I went back for a 2nd look & noticed the small print saying " almost a thousand pics made up the montage "

The caption says there are nearly 1000 Kiya. There must have been a lot of selection done to the overlay image to retain all the branch details.
Although I am not a big fan of photo montage or collage I think this one that was done by the local BBC South East for the Queens jubilee is quite a work of art. I may have already posted it but this contains over 5000 photos submitted by viewers and then assembled by artist Helen Marshall.
This was when it was on display at Rochester Cathedral.

I'm incredibly impressed by both H and Grandad's posted montages here. They really are fantastic. I couldn't even begin to think how to do this let along even try to start assembling photos, sorting, placing......Ohhh I think I'm getting tired just thinking on it.
Seriously - some of the projects different artists tackle are phenomenal AND they persevere to completion. I can't really get my brain around the discipline and dedication and work ethic some artists have.
I've often wondered if it IS really work ethic or are they just driven to create?
It was referenced once - in my working days
- that I had a "strong" work ethic because I always showed up early to work. I ALWAYS arrived 6:45am for a 7am start. (Silly supervisor never realized that while I DO/DID have a strong work ethic my showing up that early had to ONLY to do with early morning traffic patterns and me not having to battle traffic My determination to have the easiest commute possible (only 7km) was the determining factor of when I showed up. Nothing to do with 'work ethic'..........this is a pretty simplistic version of a work ethic (as defined by a Supervisor).
