I think William would have done himself and Kate a favour if he had totally ignored 'those pictures' and certainly not drawn parallels to Diana. What do you folks think?

Well having seen them, the photo's and the boobs I can't really see what the fuss is all about you see more on most holiday beaches.
On a more serious point though, I do believe that these photographers get us all a bad name, it was after all an invasion of their privacy either way you look at it. Where do you draw the line? if say she had slipped and flashed her knickers would it be acceptable? would any woman find that type of voyeurism acceptable. There are candid shots and there are invasive shots, you even see them trying to catch an up skirt photograph when they are getting in or out of a car. Had she got her boobs out in the middle of Paris then it may be news worthy and that is the point here 'news worthy' they are actually creating the news by spying on them and sensationalism. On balance I reckon that just ignoring it would have been the best option although I do think that the photographer needs a kick in the nuts, sometimes it just seems that anything fresh and unspoiled has to be targeted and defiled in some way, I find that tragic.

Absolutely WI. But I tend to think that if the matter had been allowed to die, it would have been yesterdays news by now. Instead, when the papers and TV perpetuate the story more rags and mags get on the band wagon to earn a cheap buck.

OH good heavens - Kate's boobs..........!!!! WHO CARES???? I'm most certainly not amused to have to listen every night when I turn on the News to get an updated status re: Kates boobs.

Personally IF you are the Queen of Sheba or in this case the potential possible future Queen.......AND if you know paperazzi (good/bad or inbetween) are everywhere - WHY are you hanging 'em out in the first place? If you expose 'em AND you have lived your life in a goldfish bowl (William has) you've GOT to expect there will be some slime hanging about somewhere waiting for a chance to snap off a few. Why subject yourself to this? Why give them even the slightest chance particularly IF you really do care about the outcome/result?

Yes it IS a total invasion of privacy BUT if you really truly want to maintain your privacy don't go exposing that which you want to keep really private.

This might sound like I'm blaming the victim but are W & K that naive to think that they DO have lives they can now keep 100% private? Kate bared all, got invaded but letting it die a very quick death would have put this to sleep quickly and easily. Now "I" am subject to on-going TV News updates about Kate's tits......AND why her boobs take precident over truly news worthy world items is another story too.......points to the level of what "NEWS Media" consider worthy of reporting.

I think Williams problem is that he is leading a 'fairly normal' life with his position and privelege just in the background so, when he feels he or his family is not being respected, he resorts to the courts to try to establish his authority. He will never dumb the worlds press.

I agree entirely with LLL that they should not have been SO naive as to think their privacy was protected. They only had to look up from their balcony to see the road just a Km away and an ideal 'pap' location.

I'm not by any stretch a "Royal" follower but I have to say I do find Kate and William extremely refreshing. I think they are really trying to relate, to be 'normal' etc and are obviously much loved by the people. I feel extremely sorry for them in that I believe all their efforts to have a 'normal' life will be to no avail as the news media or press will never allow them the same level or type of privacy that the rest of us have. Unfortunately I think they (Kate and William) will have to put up barriers they seem to be trying to avoid and methinks they will have to become much more savey (or is it savy - OMG I can't spell anymore) to the incorrigible ways of the Paps.

Sad the world can be titilated by tits..........
