As the 2012 Olympics are about to start, I thought that I would share Boris Johnsons welcome with you all.

Great hair cut!

Boris is well known for his unruly hair style although he has just had it trimmed for the Olympics.

Had it trimmed? WOW! He needs a tube of Brill! Slap it back for a greasy look.

I'm not up on men's hair products but when I was a teen there was a certain 'Brill Creme' look that was in style. My dad used to 'wet up' his hair, neatly part it down the side and do the little flip up on the front. His hair never moved. Wind, rain - nothing moved the 'do.' I can also remember my mother slathering up my brother's head and doing the same process - make the part, brush down both sides and then the flip up at front.

Nowadays - well - hard to even start to describe which hair styles are 'in.' Guess we have everything from the Boris look to long talk multi coloured spikes. (Have no idea what holds those spikes in place - cement?)

I remember 'Brylcreem' my dad would use it, today they like to use 'gel' to make hair stick up.

Yesssssss - Brylcreme - that is what it was. I remembered my dad used to call it Brill - but that was his short form version of Brylcreme.

Today in the hair aisles of any store there are TONS of concoctions (to say nothing of colours too) for the hair........I often wonder how comfortable some of the new(er) styles are. Is it really comfortable to walk about with 10"+ spikes of hair on your head? (Probably don't notice the hair given all the piercings that are hung about)
