FYI: The lead singer of the Diamonds is also the father of Tom Hanks! I didn't know that.

Oh what a great blast from the past LLL, I can certainly remember the song even though I was just a young lad. That style of singing has always been one of my favourites and I just love all the 50’s 60’s & 70’s music. To be honest as most of you know I like all kinds of music, so hate to burst the bubble on what would be a great story.

The Diamonds were a Canadian group and the lead singer on ‘Little Darlin’ was Dave Somerville who later left the group, but now sings with them again. Tom Hanks dad is Amos Mefford Hanks and was from California, so sorry the myth is busted, ……………….. loved the songs thought and thanks for posting.

Gosh!! that first 1 sounds ancient.......prefer the Paul Anker version

It is ancient Kiya, but I agree the Paul Anka version is much better. It only goes to show though that a lot of newer songs are really just updates of some great oldies, by the way Mrs H also thought that he looked like Tom Hanks, there is a very strong resemblance between the two especially from the side.
