Hopefully tonight I will start to change this old style to the new..

There is many new features which I have added to the new style, I still need to add a few more features, but these are not that importatnt in the running of the forum and can wait till later.

I will make 3 new topics in the Suggestions and Help Enquiries section, 1 - forum problems, 2 - Arcade problems 3 - Gallery problems, even after extensive testing there is bound to be some problems due to different browsers and how you have your system setup, if you incounter any problems then please let us know by posting it in one of the threads.

The change might take a few hours to 24hrs depending on any error's I encounter and also the speed of my internet (during the day with the internet problem here in Luxor, its been running at less than a modem speed).

You will not be able to access the site while im updating the server and most likely you will see error messages till the upgrade is complete.

Looking forwards to seeing it up and running Keefy any idea as to what time you expect to start making the changes? and I assume that we will just be eased into the new version using this same link, without having to log into a new site?

All other info, usernames, passwords, profile info, uploaded photo's will be imported over.

The only thing we will lose is the Blogs. and the scores from the arcade games.

However the new Arcade has over 600 new games.. and around 50-70 of the old games which were used in the game competitions.

Well that certainly took some time in uploading Keefy :oo I bet you were tearing your hair out, I will never complain about my internet speed again after what you have had to deal with.
By the way I like the new colour, it is a lot easier on the eye.

Congratulations, Keefy, especially with your dire internet speed. Go to bed, I'm sure you deserve a decent night's sleep. When you are refreshed (and not before) would it be possible to identify the smilies by rolling the cursor over them? I know they are pretty much self-explanatory but I need a little help to know what they are.

It should already do that, ive just tested it and it works for me, maybe you need java installed ? try again next time your on, cause im making adjustments all the time while the forum is live.

Ok = Sorry - me playing with the Avatars again and the quick reply. I was looking at all of 'em and didn't realize that whilst clicking the avatar it was actually going onto the screen.......I DO like the Quick reply feature. Did we have it before?

I'm not too sure if this is addressed elsewhere re: photos but I was trying right now to upload a photo and I got this following message when I clicked on "upload"

You are not allowed to upload more than 250 images.
Please contact the administrator for more information.

Soooooooo ??? Do I have a 250 photo limit I've reached? What do I need to do to be able to upload a photo for posting on here please?

You could try uploading to another Album, each album limits 250 per member.
OR you could open your own album which will hold 500 photos.

Click the user control panel above the clock, then click Gallery, then click Manage personal albums from here you can create your personal album.

You can alter the personal settings etc from the user control panel for example you can turn on or off Exif-Data, this gives lots of information on how the photos was taken, shutter speed, flash etc. When a person views any photos in the album by clicking on the name of the photo, so it opens in its own window instead of the popup window, then they can see the Exif-Data if the camera is capable of embedding that information.

HooPoo? ??? what is that? I'll use a 'smilie' to show I'm confused

I didn't know these little things were called smilies.....dunno where I got the word Avatar but I always considered these little fakey guys as Avatars.......sooooo "SMILIES"

A Hoopoo is a bird LLL and that picture that Keefy used of mine was one that is carved on the side of Queen Hatshepsuts Red Chapel in the open air museum part of Karnak Temple.

I might be missing something but 'where' is the HooPoo? Is it in this thread? Am I supposed to be seeing something I'm not?

Usually it is the other way 'round and I see things that are not there! This time if there is a HooPoo bird somewhere on this thread I sure do not see it............(thanks for the explanation H. never knew what a HooPoo was)
