A giant catapult, like the model outside Cairo Citadel.

Here's mine, in order:

1. To be able to live full-time with my husband (but that's a double-edged sword, as it means the death of our aged parents).

2. In the meantime, at least 6 months at a time, him here and me there.

3. Private luxury dahabaya trip with family and friends, a la Amelia Edwards but Aswan to Cairo (no time limit).

4. A long-term stay in Venice, not the measly week I've had (but feel blessed to have had at least that).

5. Ditto (ditto), Paris.

6. Northern Lights.

NOTE TO SELF: keep buy lottery tickets!

My own list is always travel and none of this IS in any specific order of importance:

1) trip to Kyoto Japan
2) trip to Mumbai India
3) trip to China to see all the pottery soldiers and Great Wall
4) trip to Australia to see the Outback
5) Cruise down the Amazon
6) trip to Galapagos/Easter Island

I want all to travel to all these places and not just for a 2 week stint I want to be able to spend sufficient time to really 'see' all of it

I can't seem to come up with any other than travel to put into my own bucket.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.

Kilimangaro would be on my bucket list but they'd have to move it to Hawaii to a warm, flat place! ;)

And BTW and FYI - I have seen northern lights in the north of Canada. They ARE FANTASTIC!!! Breath-taking and something you all have to experience. Another BTW and FYI - make sure you're wearing 3 pair of thermal knickers/vests and the heaviest warmest parkas you can find cause by the time you get to Northern Light territory it is SOOOOOO COLD you can't believe it! ;)

Something I've been thinking about 'bucket list' wise is what I intend to give away before I die. I know this is kinda morbid but I'm more than aware that the gov't is highly vested in death taxes and I'm vested in not giving them a dime more than necessary. For my entire life I've paid all taxes all the time and sometimes it seems I pay taxes twice and thrice on things......anyway I'm thinking to devise a plan as to how to divest myself of everything by the time I die yet preserve a decent stand of living too.

My father always used to say that if he died owing the tax man one pound sterling he would be a happy man.
