The buggy was delivered yesterday pm well packed in pieces in a very large box on a pallet. I only put the battery on charge overnight and will assemble it this morning. That is very simple because it dis-assembles into 5 parts with clips, no tools required.
I worked through the user manual last evening and in the specification I was surprised to find different figures for USA/Canada and International. Are there really differences in weights and measures?
For instance, max user weight 300 pounds USA/Canada, 325 pounds international.
Range: USA/Canada 14.4 miles, international 12.6 miles???
I won't be doing anything like those mileages between charges but if I did get stuck there is a disengage lever so I could push it to the next bus stop

Just been trying out the buggy on the block paved frontage. I am very impressed with it, won't go further afield until my wife has seen it. She is shopping in town at the moment. It is very neat how the power is transferred between the separate units when dis-assembled. I also like the battery state dial which has a sequence of coloured LED's. It also comes with a set of interchangeable colour covers over the wheel guards, red and blue, so you can change the colour if you fancy. So far so good.
It is designed in the USA by the Pride Scooter Company but, guess what, it is manufactured in China. For £575 ex VAT I think it is great value.....so far

Has anyone seen the delightful BBC2 programs, Cats about the house? The program is centred mainly on The Big Cat Sanctuary at Smarden in Kent. Apart from photography days, they have 4 open days each year and this year they are from 26 to 29 July.
I have been trying to get onto their site to book tickets but the server keeps crashing. Many others have the same idea I guess.....but I will keep trying.

I do watch it - mostly to rationalise the irritation that the chap who is mostly on the screen gives me. So far it's worrying me. I hope I'm wrong but I think there may be tears before bedtime.

@Grandad - Don't you know we're lighter and can go further in Canada than the rest of the world??
Here in Canada we're metric although it wasn't my first measure and I never really converted to it. I'm betting there was some mix up re: the weights and measures when the translator didn't really understand exactly the numbers they were converting (maybe - just my guess although ?)
Your scooter sounds wonderful and hopefully it'll get you out and about more so the housebound feeling doesn't set in.
Today in my FOGGY RAINY world (which I'm getting real tired of) I'm mulling what I will do other than go and pick up the twins when they get out of school. The granddaughter has a fever so she is coming down with something. Not sure what else I'll do. Don't have too much in mind but will see.

That is a good price Grandad

when I purchased just the power drive unit alone to fit onto my mothers wheelchair (she would not have coped with a scooter) it was something like £700 quite a few years ago.

Is the weather ever going to improve? Raining here this morning and as somebody on TV said, 'We have had a six months winter'. I think I agree with that.
One thing for sure, I won't be getting the scooter tyres wet

I reckon it has been a particularly long and wet Winter, we hardly seem to get two good days together. I have had to resort to building my chicken coop inside my conservatory as I just cannot work outside, roll on some good weather.

I've been sitting here racking my brain on what to take to my craft club tomorrow. There is a workshop going on in making etui boxes, but I'm really not into cardboard, glue and fabric, so I've been trying to think of a project I can take, which doesn't involve lugging a machine, table and haberdashery along, but which isn't hand sewing! I think I've come up with something at long last though. I'm going to make a Teddy Bear!

Teddy Bears are always super cute!
Only kinda raining today here. Haven't really gone for a walk for a while now because of the weather which remains at yucky.
Lots of the garden centers are filling up but who can get out to see what they have?!? Love to be visiting to see what is there but don't want to get soaked down cruising the aisles.

Today, so far, there is no rain but I'm not betting we won't. Sun is being elusive so not too sure what today will bring or what I'll do.

Cardiff grey with rain - typical again. Honestly when you look our of the window it could be any time of day light just the same no indication of time.
The gulls have been back on the chimney pots, but they don't look as if they are nesting yet, just keeping their territory.
