Well you have a reference for one in the gallery and then a minute image - getting nearer................... :up

I chose this photo of the last two bulbs from last year to show how different they were - grown together and treated exactly the same. I haven't seen any pictures of dwarf red ones so far and all of mine have come from Tesco no other supplier.

Getting there this was taken 14th Dec.2016 The 2 on the left were started about 2 weeks earlier.

This was taken on 3rd January. The one in flower went on growing and had another head coming behind the first one.

The pot with the long leaves had no flowers but eventually leaves about 4 ft long.

These are the last two to flower from this group.

The first was huge, second just leaves, third normal, fourth tiny. A bit of everything really and I found it quite interesting.

I cross pollinated the last ones and have seed saved I gave some to our gardening group but though I know some grew I haven't had much feedback.

This is quite the smallest Amaryllis I've seen - the leaves were tiny too.

:a4: :a27: Well done MD you have finally cracked it
Wow that Orange coloured one is a real 'stonker' don't think I have seen one that tall, large flowers yes, but as tall, no :o
Those pots are identical to mine, were they from Tesco?
Anyway now you know how to do it we will expect more piccies from you in the future ;)

The Stonker continued to grow until the seeds had set! In this picture you can see I had to put it in a waste bin to stop it falling over. It was a bit pinker in real life, but the huge flowers lasted for ages and I thought it had a hint of perfume too.
Wish the slugs hadn't eaten it.

PS I found that if the pot was given a quarter turn every day they didn't need staking. But obviously the pot was too small for this particular one.

I do the same with mine MD :up each day I rotate the pots to stop them reaching for the light. I am also watching to try and avoid them going leggy.

No stopping me now, I am an obsessive personality so you are in for a really boring time. Stand by for blasting!

I blame Horus, it's all his fault. :up

Post the images Horus - thank you. :up

Also thank you for reminding me that I'm overdue for an eye check. I found your very informative You Tube video very difficult to read and after stopping, starting and going back got frustrated and eventually good old trial and error worked.

Windows 10 does have quite a few things which are done differently and sometimes turn out to be easier than expected. Though I didn't know that I had Picture installed for instance and had to find it through Google each time until of course I pinned it to the task bar. On the whole I think I like it though a lot of applications I used for years and loved are no longer available.

My two are off to the races in that both are now showing decent growth (photos to come in a bit) so soon will be reaching fast for the sky.

One of the Red Lion is showing a tiny tip, Minerva and the other Red Lion just swelling in the neck.

I wonder if I will get a bit of everything like last year? How exciting.

By the way after I had potted them in the lightweight pastel plastic pots and watered them each pot weighed about 3 lbs. :up
