They look like a pair of baby Ferrets Grandad, probably 'Polecats'
As to the video question, can you be more explicite? but you can link any video to this site as long as you put the URL in.

Too easy but yes they are a pair of 8 week ferret pup brothers. Very cute and love being handled and petted.

I did recognise them for what they are Grandad, but on reflection I should have put the two things together (which I didn't) that you have said before that your Son in Law goes rabbiting, so that particular pastime plus having Ferrets makes sense.

Edit: I have to say that one of the funniest things I have seen on TV was a guy handling a ferret and it bit him, the look of agony on his face as he was trying to get it off his finger while trying to act as if nothing was wrong was a treat to behold, I must trawl the internet and see if I can find it.

Yes Horus they belong to my grandson and son in law. They have a superb 'house' that they live in and have settled after being taken from the mother.

On the video question, I believe that we can upload short clips direct to this site without the need to upload to something like Youtube. I cannot remember the max file size and what format is required. I have a little bit of video that I want to show you but only want to put it here if possible. If you could tell me the file size i will edit to fit. thanks.

Grandad, there are file limitations, but I dont know off hand what they are, I do know that it is not very big and you do need to keep adjusting the size until it works OK. I have used one of the clips I did for Kiya's visit to Rome as an example, this was an MP4 file and it is 5.5 MB in size, I don't think you can get away with anything much bigger though, all you can do is to try it and see.

The ferrets are cute. Do they change when they get older? Meaning do they stay tame? or do they get aggressive?

I've never owned a ferret nor have I ever known one or anybody who has actually had one hands-on. I'm used to wild versions of otters, mink, ferrets and while they look cute they're super vicious if caught or cornered.

H I have cut this file down to 4.5mb mp4 runs for about 45 secs but can you tell me how to upload it. I have tried copy/paste and drag/drop; and you can't post it via the picture upload?
If I can post it I will then explain why I thought of you.

Grandad, make sure you are in 'Full Editor' mode for your post.
Go to the bottom below the text window and you will see another section.
Use the 'Browse' function button to go to where the file is on your PC
When you have chosen it, click the 'Add the File' button and it will slowly upload to the forum and you will see a progress bar
When it has finished uploading you should see the file name appear in a box just below your first main text box, it will have the words 'Place inline' alongside it.
By clicking the 'Place inline' button it should add it into your upper text box
You should now be able to Preview it and then post the clip.

Note that as it will be showing in 'Quick Time' you may have to tick a few boxes to allow the site to run the program on your PC, just choose the 'one time only' option

Thanks for your help H. I had to keep reducing the length until it came under 5mb. Didn't help that my Movie setting was for HD 60fps.
To get to the point, I have mentioned our Millie, the daughters little terrier. Well she is over 14 now and I got a little video clip yesterday to show how very lively she still is and the knock on is that hopefully you will also have Annie for many years to come. Sorry it's so short but you will get the message.

Little Millie certainly is very active for her age and long may she continue to be so.
As an aside is that grass lawn for real or is it 'Astro turf' it looks very much like the stuff my mate has just had laid, if its real then all credit to the gardener

Horus my daughter and family have a growing menagerie. Millie was first then came grandsons 'dragon' which he keeps in a cage (can't remember the proper name) in his bedroom. Then came Niggles a lovely black neutered cat, and now Nibbles and Dibbles the ferrets. My grand daughter is responsible for all the names.

This is the ferrets luxury home with sleeping quarters, bathroom (well somewhere they do their business) and two tier cage and run with tunnel.


The clutter all abouts is because, and you guessed right, they have just done a bit of a makeover with some additional decking AND the artificial grass that is very nice to play on.

And Millie now over 14, well the vet says she is in excellent condition so doing well for a small terrier whose expectation can be as short as 10 to 12 years.

Thats some ferret house Grandad and I am sure little Millie has a lot of time left yet

After sitting waiting for nearly an hour I did get our little lady collecting her special treat for her supper. Half of one rabbit had been removed, jointed and frozen. Got to keep the ferrets fed as well.

Not good video but I had to reduce the quality to get it within the limits.

Interesting video Grandad, but as you say it is difficult to get the thing within the forum upload limits. Have you thought of creating yourself a YouTube account and then uploading them to there and then insert the link into your post in the same way that I sometimes do for music videos?

I have a Youtube account H but choose not to upload every little bit of video if there are alternatives. With very short clips like this one I think it is OK to reduce it just to share with friends on here
