Who are these people? I can't imagine that they are a real tour operator because Manial Palace is closed and any legitimate company would know that.

I've been lurking but just don't have time to post. Started a new full time job AND a teaching position at the same time at the end of January. Thought I would make everyone think the worst and think I left in a huff though!

It says "visit Mohammed Aly's Palace." That's otherwise known as Manial Palace.

Really pleased to see you taking time to post, GD. I normally work full time and do some teaching but I'm currently nursing a complex elbow fracture with radial nerve damage. Plenty of time to post but I generally prefer to lurk unless pushed beyond human endurance.

Has anyone ever been sandboarding? I'd love to go ..... but I whine enough about getting sand between my toes on beach trips, and the mind boggles about where sand would end up if I went flying down a dune at speed! Is it as sandy as I fear??

Isn't that how the grimy old buildings are cleaned up? Sandblasting, sandboarding.... wouldn't the effect be the same? Ouch, ouch, ouch!

:snig:
Surfing hurts, don't it?!
At least the landing is a bit softer than I assume sand boarding would be - bit like scraping your body down an emery board?

hopefully they would sandboard down soft powder sand

Surfing in the sea would be great if you could just get balanced on the blinkin board
Stupid board is balanced against the wall in the hall and I'm thinking of swapping it for a kayak. Anyone want to do a swap?
