Worth a watch
I have just been catching up on BBC i-players latest series called 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' an Australian historical fiction based on the novel by Joan Lindsay and set in 1900 about a tragedy at a girls boarding school. I do know the storyline as I watched the original film version some years ago, it is very well made and has a brooding atmosphere and some lovely scenery and no doubt it will end in the same mysterious way, but it is still enjoyable to watch.

Wasn't there a film Picnic at Hanging Rock too btw? I think I've seen it. Unless I'm mixing something up, it was quite a while ago.

Welcome to the forums Riemer
Yes there certainly was an earlier film and I think there was another TV version as well, this one was the latest adaptation of the book and IMO it was very well done.
