Re: What's your MOOD today
Calm and relaxed. I got the paperwork filed, domestic stuff under control, new Windows update sorted surprisingly quickly and have found a home for plastic shopping bags.
I'm especially pleased about that - they are going to a charity shop which apparently finds them very useful. I do have a tendency to acquire them and about once a year sort them out. I have binned them in the past which goes against the grain for hoarding useful stuff. So bag mining is on the cards for this afternoon.

Re: What's your MOOD today
HAPPY It is my birthday and I now match my mother who was the longest living in my family tree. It seems we were not known for our longevity.
25 years ago, after the death of her husband, my sister moved to Devon with a new partner. She is a bit like Jan Leeming in many ways and has to have a man in her life. Earlier this year they moved back to Kent which means I now see my sister more frequently than when they were in the west country. So today I invited them to join us for lunch at Chapmans. My sister is not a red meat eater (can't understand that?) so a seafood restaurant will suit her fine.
They have a good lunchtime menu and I will let you know what is on the menu today. As it is all fresh, the menu changes daily.

Re: What's your MOOD today
I'm feeling HAPPY today. Christmas stuff all buttoned up, taxis pre booked for over Christmas, happy listening to music on my Echo right now, absolutely anything I fancy.
And we are beginning to talk about holiday plans for February/March next year.
Happy lad right now.

Feeling a tad disappointed that with all the snow I'm not going to get to the twins Christmas concert but maybe it'll be postponed 'til later this week. They go to school 'til Friday although Friday is going to be movie day for them.

I've been toying with the idea of building a 3D printer so have been doing some research on the subject.

Re: What's your MOOD today
Fortunately, here in the south-east, the weather has turned quite mild for the time of year - and long may it continue! I don't deal well with cold weather so the warmer it gets the better I like it. I also don't like dark, dreary days but, if that's the price I have to pay for mild weather, I will shut the curtains; turn the lights on and pretend it's not happening outside!

Re: What's your MOOD today
Today I've been bored. Plain out and out bored. It has rained and rained and rained. Nothing much on the agenda to do at all today so I ended up cooking which is almost always a boring activity to me. A 'must do' but nothing that is high on my list of exciting activities.

HAPPY as my youngest daughter sprang a surprise visit on me yesterday and I have her until this evening before she tracks back to London on the coach. I really appreciate the time and trouble she goes to, bless her.

Today, right now, I'm TENTATIVE in that I'm up and awake and thinking what I'll do today right now.

Re: What's your MOOD today
Enthusiastic! I got a good start on organising the house repairs yesterday. I know it will probably take a year to get it all done, but if I do then I have made my mind up that I will agree to go and live in Ibiza near my daughter. Always supposing I'm still physically able! Though actually I have been very, very, slowly improving in my movement around the house. It's so nice to get out of bed and walk firmly to the bathroom along the corridor without staggering and holding onto the walls, a small thing perhaps, but an achievement for me to enjoy.
I've also arranged my day so that I do some drawing or painting without feeling guilty and that I should be doing something more "worthy". I have an appointment for an eye test on Monday and I'm hoping to find out what kind of Macular Degeneration I have and if it can be helped. It's becoming quite noticeable now, so I feel free to indulge in art while I don't have too much problem.
The bonus of the day is after a good night's sleep there is a clear blue sky and the boiler is behaving itself, not only keeping me warm but today is giving hot water too!

Re: What's your MOOD today
Lots of plans for the comming year MD did you not say you were currently staying in your daughters house?
As for the painting, well why not? its your day and its your life, so do what suits you that's the way I look at things.

Re: What's your MOOD today
Yes it is my daughter's house but she moved out ten years ago! It hasn't been formally let, but the boyfriend of one of her friends lived here and did "improvements" for a few years in my daughter's absence.
It had been empty for about 6 years apart from infrequent visits by her or her ex partner. He is a hoarder so there is loads of his stuff still here. I think the only thing to do is to give him a deadline to remove it, and stick to it.
