Re: Nicola
Mind you the EU in the form of Donald Tusk have given her the elbow regarding her planned meeting until after the UK officially enacts article 50. She may like to reflect on how her importance is deemed to be less than keeping the UK sweet at the moment and they are not actually falling about offering her membership.

Re: Nicola
She is obviously very passionate about her views on Independence, but she is sounding like a stuck record and also being very peevish about the whole thing. I doubt that she realises that at a time like this with the latest seismic upheaval that has taken place that she is probably doing more harm than good for both the UK and indeed Scotland's future.

Re: Nicola
I think that this article makes for interesting reading as it assesses her chances of pulling off a referendum
https://uk.news.yahoo.com/why-scotland- ... 00541.html
But this one is more telling when it comes to Scotland's finances before and since she last called for one, I doubt that many Scots would vote for her based upon this.

Re: Nicola
Both interesting analyses H. But figures like that are never revealed by the pro Independence or pro EU camps. And I doubt that the average Scot is aware of the state of their economy and will be persuaded by who shouts loudest.....Mrs Sturgeon I guess.
Politics, damn politics, and lies.

Re: Nicola
I could not agree more Grandad, choose which side you happen to be on whether that be the Brexit vote or the Scottish referendum vote that we the people are never kept well enough informed.

Re: Nicola
And I have to say, that Nicola Sturgeon really has some balls. (Metaphorically speaking of course )
She has already invited herself to Brussels to start talking about her plans for a Scottish referendum and then EU membership. She really is up herself. But apparently her brass nosed approach did not get the reception she had hoped for.

Re: Nicola
I reckon she needs to take a reality check, does she really think that Spain with its own problems of Catalonia and Belgium with its Flemish population, both of which would see it as a green light to be independent from both Spain and Belgium if she got her way would ever dream of allowing a breakaway Scotland to join the EU, in her dreams.
Once again she would see that majority voting means exactly that! the majority wins the vote and the majority voted to leave.
