Shhhhhhh! RS. Yes you got it. They are on display in the Chapter House until August before being re-instated. I look forward to seeing them after their restoration and travels in the US.

I'm pretending I didn't read and hear so I can enjoy the surprise and be surprised! I definitely do love stained glass windows!!

These are from Columbia (first one) and the others from Costa Rica. I do tend to prefer the rounds windows but I honestly appreciate all of them. Sometimes the work is so intricate. Definitely gorgeous.

I am going to turn the tables and ask a question LLL.
They are lovely windows but do you know how old they are? They look very clean and new. I am sure they are not new but are they perhaps 16th or 17th century?

Our local tiny church in Kent was at Tudeley cum Capel and had all 12 windows painted by Chagall - not an admirer myself, I prefer the more traditional ones with their deep and passionate colouring.

Apparently their is only one other window in a church in the UK painted by him.

Zoe D'avigdor Goldsmith who married James Teacher of the Teachers whiskey family, was once of my nearest neighbours. Funnily enough, though immensely rich the family were the some of the most down to earth people I ever met. And also some of the unluckiest.

Hmm just been on a memory trip and got quite emotional.

My wife's cousins husband was gamekeeper at Five Oaks Green. Now there's a coincidence.
