I agree, I do know that they cost about £100 to mount them and I should add that both she and her husband were and still are long standing friends of my late wife and myself. :)

Interesting and timely story MD as I've now returned and can't for the life of me find where I put down a fair sized red book that I keep all my addresses and info in. I've opened every drawer in this house and it isn't there. I've only got my car left to search but I can't see me actually carrying my book out to the car and putting it there........but maybe ??? Maybe IF my memory ever kicks in, and it might after a sleep, I'll remember where I put it for safe keeping.

I've never tried cross stitch as it seems incredibly intricate painstaking work. I do love the finished product though.

Quite like Grandad's watercolour. It has an appeal I can associate with. Nice piece of work.

I've been collecting felt in all different colours as I intend to make felt Christmas ornaments. I made a bunch years and years and years ago and the youngest daughter is now putting them up on her tree. I'd cut out basic figures then added embroidery, beads, buttons and other contrasting felt. Going to make some more. They're not large and I just sort of free-style but they are a bit of work but look seasonally nice in the end. This I'll fit in between the quilting ;) (Made 2 more tops but haven't quilted them yet)
