What to get for my daughters birthday in 3 weeks when I remembered when she was a child growing up & well in to her teens she loved doing jigsaws, so I thought how about a jigsaw with one of her wedding photos.
I've been searching on line & finally ordered one then went on to order coasters for her, all with b/w family photos.
Gee I hope she doesn't think I'm in to my second childhood
I think it would be good Christmas/Birthday presents for the older child to have a jigsaw of themselves , they could even decide to stick it to cardboard
I think it's a great idea Kiya and something I am sure she will like, nowadays you can get all sorts of clever things with an image put on them, so coasters and jigsaw puzzles sound good to me.
There are brilliant jigsaws in the shops now, I always had one going on my table in the winter but in this little house there is only a tiny table - if I do one outside the animals are fascinated and have to climb all over it so thats out. We did have jigsaws in the home, just another thing to keep the residents brains active . no dumbos in that home ...
I think the placemats and coasters with appropriate pictures is a nice idea for special occasion gifts. And taking the photo theme a little further you can even have a photo on top of a cake, birthday or otherwise
Talking of jigsaws, I was struggling for ages trying to do one of a lovely big Cockerel as depicted on the box, I had bits all over the table and couldn’t get any matching pieces at all. My daughter called in to see me and the first thing she said to me was “Dad, why have you got all those Corn Flakes scattered over the table?”
Personally I think it's a great idea, Kiya! My DIL has been giving me calendars for a few years now - all with photos of my GD in, and I love getting them!
