It was a lovely bright day on Saturday, but also very cold, so the ‘Little Man’ and I took ourselves out for a short stroll. It was so bitterly cold that he had is sheepskin coat on and I had two scarf’s and a woolly hat. I slipped my small camera into my pocket to take a few Autumn leaves shots, but although the leaves had been quite nice a few days ago, unfortunately most seem to have been blown away by the recent windy spell. We did a circular walk which involved walking down the road from the top of the hill where we live, continuing along a flat stretch of about a mile and then returning home again up another steep road. We seem to have missed the best of the leaves and colour for this year although the walk was quite enjoyable in the bright afternoon sun and the air was lovely and crisp.
On arriving back home he had a nice warm bath (Saturday is bath day for him) and two very nice looking pork sausages cut up and added to his biscuits for his dinner, me? I had a couple of cheese and ham sandwiches and two slices of Walnut cake with a cup of coffee.
Some nice trees down the hill
Max plays in the leaves
Walking along the flat section
Making a left turn by the stand of Conker trees, not much to show this year.
The road back home, that hill is steeper than you may think.
Looking back towards the stand of Conker trees, lots of fallen leaves.
Looking towards the fields, very soon all this will be bare branches and hedgerows.
Lovely colour, but one more gust of wind!
