Guess I should be asking Grandad since he seems able to control this!

Oh Horus! Do you have any idea how many million square kilometres we have here and how few people? Your chances of meeting any are infinitesimally small, you nutter! I've never never seen any that aren't in aquariums, zoos or museums, and have lived here all my life... so far! :snig:

You'd be most welcome, Jayway! :) Re dunny spiders: okay for looking at, just don't shake hands! :urm:

Well Africa is big :) and when I used to live there I was always treading on snakes and being chased by Crocs, not to mention being stung on the bum by spiders.  Mind you, I suppose that Wallabies and Koalas are bit friendlier than Lions and Hippo's ;)

Tomorrow (Saturday) I'm going to where it snow snow snows.....BIG TIME! Am taking a bus to Leavenworth. Small Bavarian style tourist town that puts on all sorts of Christmas stuff. Will get there mid-morning, browse the shops, take in the lights and sights and will be in the city centre square at 4pm to watch the lights come on the big tree whilst singing Silent Night.

Lots of tourists go to Leavenworth this time of year for the "Christmasy feel" and enjoy cross country skiing, tobaganning, ice skating - all the fun winter stuff in a Bavarian setting.

Soooooo first I wanted the snow to go but now I'm hoping there will be 'lots of snow' there tomorrow.

(Photos to arrive - soon) :) :)

Looking forwards to seeing those pictures :) that place sounds like a real Winter wonderland.

Now what did I predict exactly 1 month ago ? (19th of November)
Answer = that we would get your snowy weather around 4 weeks later :)
So this morning on the 17th of December we awoke to a good covering of snow in my part of the world. :) More to come I predict. :(
