Blogs
Heaven help us all, but about 10 minutes ago I had a burning urge to start a blog.
Then I got a grip of myself (after I'd thought of a name for it!) and decided I wasn't safe to be let loose on one.
Should I change my mind in the next ten minutes again - where do I make one??

Go to the top of the page and click the 'Blogs' button, you will then see a message something like "Click here to create a new Blog" make sure you click on the word 'here' then just use the drop down menu at the side of the picture near the bottom, to see the various options of layouts. Choose the one you like then click the 'create blog' button, that's it, you have a blog You will see that I have just created one to test it out

Ooooooh! But I'm so angry I could spit!!!
I've wasted most of my day stuck behind my computer doing battle with that stupid mobile phone connector cable trying to get a photo off my mobile to put in this god-forsaken blog.
Finally got the picture out and stored on my desktop - then put the blasted thing into paint and resaved it since L4U never used to accept photos from my mobile. Tried to upload it to the blog and it said it was too big, went to the picture resize thingy and resized it, downloaded it to my computer, then tried to upload it to the blog and it still tells me it's too big!
So there's a majorly ticked off Goddess stalking round at the mo!

OK Mr Keefy! I got a problem!!
Just been off to poke everything again and work out what went wrong.....and here's the thing:
The picture resizing thing takes the picture down to 800x800 whatsits, but the blog wants it to be 500x500 whatsits.
How do I squish it down yet more?? (Should have stuck with the one inch version! )

Goddess, do you have Picasa on your PC? if so use it to view your picture then tell it to send it as an email. When it appears in the email attachment line, just copy that file to your desktop as it will be the correct size for uploading (The Picasa email picture option always resizes pictures automatically)

I just dug out the photo thread that you started back in January. Keefy promised to try and fix the grey box and text missing thing then but I get the same issue with my Firefox. Given up with dodgy old IE now.

What you must do is to have Picasa in a minimized window, then you can just drag a copy of the picture file onto your desktop when it starts up your email and puts the picture in the attachment line of the email Remember you are not going to send the email, you are just using that method to generate the small picture file. Once you have dragged a copy of it onto your desktop, close the email and Picasa down.
Edit: Glad I could help but the above advice about minimizing the Pacasa window is worth following as it makes things easier

Good plan Horus, at least if I dragged it somewhere, I'd be able to find the little sucker a bit easier!
I'm just relieved that's all over!
Since we're on about picassa and email - One thing that really irritates me is that whenever I click the email button in picassa it opens up outlook email editor. Is there anyway to make it pop up in gmail or yahoo?
